About
20 years ago I dreamed a dream of creating a family of like minded, crazy individuals from all corners of the planet - releasing music to the world and making people dance. That dream was Crosstown Rebels and this year we are 20.
Over these years I have forged beautiful friendships, discovered very talented artists and tried my best to help, advise and support some of the most colourful characters in dance music. Crosstown Rebels is more than a record label, it is Family.
So 2023 will mark the label’s 20th anniversary. This is an opportunity for the Crosstown Rebels family, a global community of artists, DJs and creatives, and the label’s myriad of followers to celebrate this momentous milestone. With support from our friends at Volcan Tequila, there will be parties and events around the world. A killer compilation of exclusives and special remixes is in the works. There’s also a beautiful coffee table book, a short film, and a special launch event planned to bring together the sights and sounds of the label’s unique and influential history. There’s lots to share, announce and reminisce. 20 years young.

THE TOUR
Spectacular parties have always been at the very heart of Crosstown Rebels, so the 20th anniversary celebrations will be no different.

We will be celebrating these 20 years by visiting those clubs, cities and places that have been part of the label’s story, and taking on the road many of our most loved artists, as well as some of the label’s hottest new talent.
The tour begins at our legendary Get Lost party in Miami, where we’ll be bringing over 90 artists from around the world to play the 24 hour carnival, perfectly rounding out Miami Music Week.
We’ll then take the show on the road, stopping off at Bali, Tokyo, Ibiza, Dubai, Istanbul, Rome, Paris, London and Berlin.
THE Book
The Crosstown Rebels story has been told in a deluxe 240 page hardback book.
20 years of madness, magic and music. Starting right back before the beginning and taking us through to the present day, acclaimed electronic music writer Joe Muggs dives into the label’s history, interviewing Damian at length and revealing Crosstown’s story as never told before.
The book brings together countless unseen photographs and artwork taken from the last two decades. It tells the story of how the dance underground battled and triumphed.
This is a unique publication, not only for fans of Crosstown Rebels and Damian Lazarus, but also for anyone with an interest in independent label culture and the evolution of dance music over the last 20 years.
THE ALBUM
A special album project of unreleased cuts and fresh remixes, featuring material from Black Coffee, Maceo Plex, Art Department, Dennis Cruz and many more.
Comprising six stellar, high-profile remixes of releases from the label’s catalogue, alongside two previously unreleased original gems, the eight-track package is a rich and exemplary showcase of the far-reaching corners of the Crosstown Rebels sound and also its globally connected family of artists and close friends.
THE film
A new feature length documentary has been commissioned.
Acclaimed director David Terranova filmed the exploits of Crosstown Rebels between 2007-2015, with unique access, a series of ‘Rebel Rave’ film captured the artists, the parties and the rise of the label around the world.
In 2023 Terranova revisits that footage, plus outtakes and with new filmed footage of Lazarus and the label in 2023, the new film will be a special celebration of the label’s history.
